How it Works Analytics Features Cohu Cameras with Analytics Agent |
The first component of Cohu Analytics is a high-end non-motion detector. It is designed to automatically detect static changes in a scene including stopped objects (e.g. stopped car), unattended baggage, lost objects and more. It is highly reliable and can very effectively detect non- moving objects in a high traffic and crowded environment (bags in airport terminals, railway terminals, etc.). The second component is the motion detector. It is designed to detect various object types (humans, vehicles, animals, etc.) moving at any predefined condition. It includes a powerful toolbox of detection rules to lower the false alarm rate (FAR) or nuisance alarm ratio (NAR) figures without compromising on a high probability of detection (POD) levels. Server supports dozens or thousands of Agent-enabled devices The two detectors are controlled by a server platform running Cohu Analytics software. The server receives and processes data streams from dozens to hundreds and even thousands of video devices enabled with the embedded Analytics Agent and connected to the network. Because the server uses low bandwidth, bi-directional communication with the Agent-enabled units, it can perform a wide range of detection missions in real time. The server hardware can be custom configured to achieve a desired level of fault tolerance and redundancy for a specific installation. The software is designed to support single and multi-processor hardware on a Windows or Linux based environment. All the system data, including event detection rules and detailed event history, resides on a central database that also provides backup, retrieval, and extensive reporting capabilities. If any of the defined rules are triggered, an operator is notified via on-screen alarm. |
