Megapixel images provide very high-resolution images of excellent quality. Generally, the image file size is large, which makes a megapixel camera ideal for snapshot applications or archiving. However, four frames per second (Series 6100) at full resolution is perfectly acceptable in many high-speed imaging applications, and even higher frame rates can be achieved if the image can utilize region-of-interest (ROI) scanning.
