Released in January 2010, first in the family line is the 3960HD camera. The 3960HD was derived from Cohu’s widely popular and highly successful 3960 PTZ platform, a 360° pan, +/- 90° tilt outdoor rated positioner. On this platform the 3960HD adds the latest technology and some important features for surveillance systems. The camera is perfect for rugged applications requiring high quality video over IP. In addition to 720p30 video and H.264 IP output, the camera features an additional analog output for use in those systems still transitioning from analog into IP.
Second in the Helios family line is the 3960SD camera. The 3960SD is the little brother of the 3960HD using the same rugged 3960 PTZ platform with 360° pan, +/- 90° tilt . The camera system features Cohu’s reliable 480p30 sensor with 35x optical zoom (3.4mm to 119mm). But on this platform the legendary 3960 is enhanced through the addition of the latest H.264 encoding technology.
Slated for release later this year, the 3930HD will be the fixed version of the 3960HD. Utilizing power over ethernet (POE), the camera will feature the same sensor/lens combination in this “set it and forget it” camera solution. The 18x optical zoom lens provides a 4.7mm to 84.6mm optical zoom range. Like the 3960HD, the 3930HD is rated to NEMA TS-2 standards for vibration and shock and can operate from -34°C to +74°C ambient temperature (-29.2°F to +165°F).
Slated for release later this year, the 7410HD will be a fixed indoor camera within the Helios Family. The camera will feature a 1080p30 sensor (1920 x 1080, progressive scan, 30 frames/sec) and H.264 compression for ultra-clear images over IP. The camera will utilize power over ethernet (POE), and will have several wide angle and zoom lens options available.
