As a part of the Helios family of products, the 3930HD fixed position outdoor camera uses the same high definition camera and h.264 encoding scheme seen in the flagship 3930HD camera only this time inside a rugged sealed and pressurized IP67 enclosure.
This model is designed as a fixed mount configuration that offers the customer a convenient and cost effective solution for stocking a single camera model that will quickly and inexpensively adapt to many different surveillance sites. The single-piece unit allows the operator or technician to position the camera, and use a laptop to precisely adjust the field of view and camera parameters to the desired scene. Camera and lens adjustments can be made on site (pole or luminaire, for example) or from a remote operations center, if RS-422 is provided to the camera site.
Cohu's 3930HD incorporates a day/night 720p/30fps HDTV camera with an integral 18x optical zoom lens that provides consistent image resolution throughout the zoom range. The camera uses true day/ night technology using a removable IR cut filter creating exceptional low light sensitivity as low as 0.01 fc.
This fully integrated, IP-based HDTV/H.264 camera system solves the traditional limitations of fixed position megapixel cameras by allowing users the ability to optically zoom in lieu of the digital-only zooms found on other megapixel cameras. (See chart below)
The 3930HD incorporates the latest H.264 image compression technology for maintaining HDTV image quality while using fractions of the bandwidth that traditional fixed position megapixel cameras require.
The camera has both IP and traditional composite output video and RS422 control exposed to integrate seamlessly into analog and IP systems or into systems going through the transition from analog to IP.
The camera inherits all of the proven advantages and reliability of Cohu's 3930 Series camera systems. The camera is rated to operate in harsh environments from –34 deg C to +74 deg C and utilizes an IP67 enclosure.
