Megapixel FireWire Camera

• 1360 x 1024 array
• 12-bit depth for greater grey scale values
• Partial readout and Region Of Interest scanning
• Integration up to 25 seconds for low light imaging

Special features make the 6100 Series camera an expert’s choice for OEM sales in biomedical inspection, metrology, materials research, and process inspection, and it can cost up to 1/3 the price of other cameras with similar features.

The 6100 Series features a 1360 x 1024 pixel sensor array for more accurate resolution of smaller objects.  Its IEEE 1394 (FireWire) output is lldc (DCAM) v1.3 compliant for uniform, uncompressed video.  The camera's electrical specifications include region of interest (ROI) scanning that allows visual analysis software to focus on a selected portion of the image.  The FireWire interface supports the IIDC 1394-based Digital Camera (DCAM) specification and provides a simple, reliable, and non-proprietary bus between the camera and the image analyzer.

To make installation simple and fast, power and data out are both on one cable.  A separate RJ45 connector enables four discreet outputs to trigger strobes or any externally controlled device.  The 6100 Series also has an identical form and fit to earlier analog cameras from Cohu, as well as similar cameras from other manufacturers.
