The 7890 Series from Cohu is a high perfomance CMOS camera with GigE digital interface for imaging applications requiring uncompressed high speed/resolution video. This camera is suitable for a wide range of high speed machine vision applications including test, inspection, OCR/DCR reading, and biomedical applications.
The 7890 incorporates a Gigabit Ethernet interface, using GigE Vision protocol, which allows for very high data transfer rates, longer transmission distances, lower cable costs and reduced camera integration, while improving the ease of use/efficiency of the camera system.
The camera sensor is based on the IBIS-5 suite, providing a 2/3” 1280 x1024 progressive scan format at user-selectable speeds: 27 frames per second at 1280 x 1024 pixel resolution or 100 frames per second at 640 x 480 pixel resolution.
Full asynchronous image capture with programmable partial scan (region of interest) provides the flexibility to utilize the camera in variable machine vision applications. The Extended IR CMOS sensor is highly sensitive in the near infrared spectrum.
Board sets and customization are available and welcome.
